Special offering: a guided meditation for the open-hearted
because an open heart is bound to break
Hey there,
Thanks for being an early subscriber/ reader to this project.
I sat down last night to record a guided meditation that would complement my last post and support listeners to notice if and how they’ve been separated from their hearts. But when I dropped into my own heart, I noticed how sad and cracked-open it felt —about harmful racial & gender dynamics I’m seeing in various spaces, about the terrifying anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ legislation & rhetoric, and about the general messiness of being human. It was one of those days, you know?
And so I created what I needed, knowing there are other open-hearted babes out there feeling broken by this world too. If that’s you, I hope this guided meditation brings you a moment of peace.

Note: At one point in the meditation I name a relationship between emotions such as anger and sadness and diseases such as eczema and migraines. I recently read about this, so it showed up, but I am not a medical provider, researcher, or anyone qualified to diagnose.
